The policy is simple to state and demanding to apply: describe what the source supports, keep living traditions in context, make corrections visible and never turn supplied copy into evidence by default.
Correction and attribution
A correction should identify the page, the passage, the better source and the date. Cultural attribution should name the institution, community or place when the source does, rather than use a tradition as an anonymous visual effect.
